Founders Note
House of Layla Maris is shaped by attention.
By objects made slowly.
By materials that hold memory.
By beauty that reveals itself through use and time.
This work grew from a lifelong devotion to objects made with care—books that invite rereading, paper that asks for presence, tools shaped by human hands and time. I am drawn to craftsmanship that carries memory, to materials that improve through use rather than novelty.
Everything offered here is chosen with that same intention. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is mass-produced. Nothing exists without reason.
I believe that how something is made matters as much as what it becomes. That beauty does not need to announce itself. That hospitality is an act of attention. And that creating fewer things—well—is a form of respect.
House of Layla Maris is maintained by one pair of hands. When the work pauses, it pauses honestly. When offerings change, they change deliberately.
Thank you for entering with care.
